I welcome inquiries from prospective PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers interested in developing their work at INGENIO (CSIC-UPV) on social-ecological systems, institutional analysis, environmental governance, and sustainability transformations. Several funding routes are available: 

📍At predoctoral level, state contracts (FPI via CSIC enrolment or FPU via UPV enrolment), the Generalitat Valenciana's grants, "la Caixa" INPhINIT fellowships, etc. 

📍At postdoctoral level, the Juan de la Cierva, the Generalitat Valenciana's grants, MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships, project-based positions, etc.

Beyond supervision and hosting, I am open to other forms of collaboration: co-authorship, partnering in project proposals, and joint work at the science-policy interface, including governance facilitation and advisory roles. These need not be confined to my core research lines. I am also interested in broader topics linked to my work. Governance, in particular, cuts across virtually every sector and system where sustainability is at stake—water, agriculture, energy, biodiversity, cities—and I find much of the most interesting work happens where these domains meet.
